Visions announces the 1Hour/1Take Video Race!

Visions is pleased to announce that registration for the first annual 1Hour/1Take Video Race is now open to all undergraduate students.
The upcoming Visions Film Festival and Conference is scheduled for March 30, 2012, and this is the first year to include the video race as part of the festival.

During 1Hour/1Take, registered crews have exactly one hour to create a minute-long video shot as one long take to be screened to festival audiences an hour later. Videos that make it to the finish line compete for the coveted Audience Choice awards, which will be presented at the after party that night. At the end of the day, not only will you leave with a new set of contacts in your film network, but you’ll also have a festival-run short film under your belt – a win-win situation no matter how you slice it.

More than your average video race, 1Hour/1Take is an exciting way to encourage collaboration, connectivity, and networking between fellow filmmakers, film scholars, and film enthusiasts.

All registered participants will be sorted into crews of a minimum of four members, including filmmakers and scholars featured in the festival that day. A prop or prompt will be given to each team at sign-in.

Each registered video racer gets a t-shirt and swag bag, so make sure to secure your spot soon as space is limited.

Undergraduate registration is open now until March 9, 2012. General public registration is open February 24 to March 9.

To register and learn more about race, go to visionsfilm.org/1hour1take or email our Video Race Coordinator Christina Laine at 1hour1take@visionsfilm.org.

See you at the finish line!
