Visions Wins Applied Learning Grant

The Visions Film Festival and Conference is proud to be the recipient of the Applied Learning Grant awarded by the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Organized and programmed completely by undergraduate film studies students, VISIONS is the first film festival and conference to provide film studies students with an opportunity to learn firsthand the process of producing a film festival.

In 2011, VISIONS opened its submissions to international filmmakers and film scholars, and the response we received was astounding. Being able to program such diverse, entertaining and imaginative films and presentations by such brilliant undergraduates from all around the world was an enriching and rewarding experience for the committee, participants and audiences alike. This year’s VISIONS team is now gearing up for our sophomore year as a global event, and the Applied Learning Grant will be a vital contribution to making VISIONS a memorable experience for everyone involved.
